Mutual of America
Helping win new business through AI-powered rapid prototyping.

Mutual of America was an internal sales initiative created to help our team pitch a modern product vision to the client.
The goal wasn’t to redesign the entire platform—it was to quickly demonstrate how the policy management experience could be modernized through a polished, interactive prototype. Working from an existing HTML application and business requirements, I created a clickable concept that focused on the core workflows while establishing a scalable visual direction.

My Role
Turning complex requirements into a compelling product vision.
My contributions included:
-
Reviewing the existing application
-
Interpreting business requirements
-
Designing the overall look and feel
-
Creating a reusable design system
-
Building an interactive prototype
-
Using AI to accelerate analysis, organization, and prototyping
The Challenge
Communicating a vision in just three days.
Unlike a typical product engagement, this project had no discovery phase or months of design iterations.
I was given:
-
The client’s existing HTML application
-
Excel spreadsheets containing business rules and dropdown logic
-
A tight deadline of just three days
-
The challenge was quickly understanding a complex insurance system, organizing fragmented requirements, and producing a polished prototype that clearly communicated our vision during the sales process.
The Approach
Using AI to move faster without sacrificing design quality.
I incorporated Claude and Figma Make throughout the project to accelerate repetitive tasks and spend more time refining the user experience.
AI helped me:
-
Summarize lengthy requirement documents
-
Understand complex business rules and dropdown logic
-
Organize requirements into clear workflows
-
Generate and iterate on interactive prototypes
-
Accelerate design system creation and UI refinement
The Solution
Alongside the prototype, I created a reusable design system that established the visual direction for form fields, layouts, and reusable interface components.
The prototype focused on the three primary workflows that mattered most during the client presentation:
-
Find a policy
-
Add a policy
-
Update a policy
